I often think abstraction is a bit like poetry.

The Quiet Bloom series begins with flowers, but it is not about painting flowers.

Each work starts with quiet observation of nature before gradually moving away from realism. Rather than recording every petal and detail, I allow memory, feeling and imagination to reshape what I’ve seen into something more abstract.

I often think abstraction is a little like poetry.
A poem doesn’t describe everything. It captures the essence of an experience, leaving space for the reader to bring their own interpretation. I hope these paintings do the same.

The flowers become softer, simpler and more expressive, not because detail is removed, but because the essence is allowed to remain.
